The route can be adjusted to suit your arrival and departure schedule. A departure flight or train after 18:00 on Day 2 is recommended.
Your private English-speaking guide and driver will meet you at Xi'an Airport or railway station and begin the tour with Han Yang Ling Mausoleum, the burial complex of Western Han Emperor Jingdi and his empress. Explore the museum and underground exhibition areas to see miniature pottery figures, ritual objects and burial layouts that reveal daily life and funerary traditions of the Han Dynasty.
Continue to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, one of Xi'an's signature Tang Dynasty landmarks, built within the Da Ci'en Temple complex to preserve Buddhist scriptures brought from India by the monk Xuanzang.
In the evening, walk through Datang Everbright City, where Tang-inspired architecture, lighting, public art and street performances create one of Xi'an's liveliest nighttime experiences before returning to your downtown hotel.
After breakfast, travel with your guide and driver to the Terracotta Army Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China's most celebrated archaeological discoveries. See the vast formations of life-sized Qin Dynasty warriors and horses while learning about their craftsmanship, military organization and historical context.
Return to the city for Yongning Gate, the best-known southern gateway of Xi'an's Ming Dynasty City Wall. Walk along the ancient fortifications for elevated city views; cycling is an optional self-paid activity.
Finish at nearby Shuyuanmen Cultural Street, known for calligraphy studios, handicrafts and traditional cultural shops. After dinner, your private driver will transfer you to Xi'an Airport or railway station for departure.
